[Welp, Papyrus can’t help but roll his eyes at Sans’s guesses. He kind of had a feeling he would just take the pranks and roll with it, that’s how he usually does it.
When he is done with his spiel, he looks over at Sans and his new telescope in anticipation. He definitely knows that Sans isn’t a fan of his own birthday for some strange reason, but he also figures that…well, maybe that can change. He highly doubts he’ll ever see his brother get excited in the same way Papyrus gets excited about his own birthday, but his birthday is still a cause for a celebration! It's not just any old regular day!
As his brother continues to say nothing, Papyrus becomes a little more concerned. Was this...too much? Maybe it was too much. But...wait, no, he shouldn't be overthinking about his gift! He just wanted to let his brother know in some way that he still appreciates all he has done! And, if someone as great as the Great Papyrus can have a great birthday with great gifts, then so should his lazy, but...still cool brother.
He almost gets caught by surprise when he suddenly feels the tight embrace, but is quick to return the hug just as tightly. He...doesn't think he messed up, giving him this gift? Why would he? He...his brother deserves nice things, too.
Nervousness is starting to bubble up in him, so he fills the dead air with some frantic talking.]
I TRIED MAKING SURE THAT IT HAD EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEEDED TO REALLY MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN SEE ALL OF THE STARS OUT HERE, EVEN THOUGH YOU'VE PROBABLY SEEN THEM LIKE A THOUSAND TIMES, BUT STILL!!! I DIDN'T FORGET ANYTHING, DID I???
